Coaches Wanted
The Sioux Falls Miracle League is looking for the following:
HEAD COACHES
-Coordinate team activities with the Assistant Coach while maintaining contact with
players and families
-Assist in uniform distribution.
- Assist Association in proper care and maintenance of League equipment.
-Manage team equipment and ensure its arrival before each game.
- Communicate concerns regarding specific players to the League officials.
-Pitch and/or monitor use of the tee.
-Make sure players have the opportunity to learn new skills.
-Keep up the team spirit!!
ASSISTANT COACHES
-Assist Head Coach with the team management and skill development.
-Pitch and/or monitor use of the tee.
-Verifies that each player has an assigned Buddy.
Everybody needs to watch for over heating, dehydration and overexertion.
The parents are strongly encouraged to provide health issues and special requirements to their coaches and the Miracle League Site Director.
TIPS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The focus is FUN.
Each player is an individual with unique interests, abilities, needs and personalities.
Team Parents are encouraged to organize a treat schedule for their team following their games. (i.e. juice box, granola bar, etc.)
TEAM ASSIGNMENT
The Association will attempt to group participants by age. With approximately 55 participants numbers dictate that each team will be comprised with children in a two to three year old age span (e.g. 9, 10, 11).
