The Miracle League of Sioux Falls will play on the Frank L. Boyce Miracle Field near the corner of Lake and Covell Ave. The field is not grass or dirt, but a special rubber surfacing that is safe and smooth. Home plate, baselines, and bases will be painted on so that children with visual impairments or that use wheelchairs or walkers are not impeded by bumps and barriers.
Children with special needs ages 5-18 are eligible to play and may register through Sioux Empire Baseball Association (SEBA) now. Youth volunteers, called “Ball Buddies” will be assigned one per player to assist with batting, base running, and fielding. Volunteers are now being accepted by SEBA for Ball Buddies for the upcoming season.
